...talk nonsense.
I have just been talking to a friend on the phone after listening to Aesop for a couple of hours and I was talking complete gibberish.
I love his early albums even if they do make me converse in a most uncohesive fashion.

Rap, and very good rap at that. He is very very wordy though.

It took me a while (several listens of Daylight) to get accustomed to his style (and voice) but now I have I'll probably download his albums again. And perhaps even buy them someday! :)

I thought Labor Days was one of the best of 2001... he's great. Still haven't got Bazooka Tooth yet, but have been meaning to. Is it any good?

Not as good as his early stuff in my opinion. The new Jux production styles on his tracks don't suit his flow...well that's what I think anyway.

i think Bazooka Tooth is self-produced, whereas Floar and Labor Days are both mainly produced by Blockhead (one of the new dudes on Ninja Tunes) if i'm not mistaken... his older stuff is nice, but i'm not really feelin' the new one all that much...

Yes...I think it mostly is self produced but there is a definite El-P influence there. I think the Daylight EP suffered from a lack of Blockhead material and too much El-P. I love Float, Labor Days. Music for Earthworms and so on...and listen to them far more than his new stuff.
I love El-P's work in general though before anyone starts bashing me for hating.

Aesop is a prominent "Def Jukie", but I don't have any of his CDs yet, but I heard a couple of his songs from some compilations I have.
As for Cannibal Ox, El-P, and RJD2, they are my top 3 on Definitive Jux.
