i don't mind europeans (or their politics/religions), most
of them anyway, but i mind how our country is led...it makes
me want to murder someone, and im a very calm person...

would have been interesting to see where Slovenia would be
now with Slavoj Zizek in charge .. not saying it would be
any better .. though by the sounds of it, it couldn't be any
worse (?)

heh, zizek is pretty famous eh? :)
you're right, it couldn't be any worse...
we have many very capable people, but no one wants (is
allowed??) to get into politics. our prime minister is the
biggest idiot ever...normally i should be proud of the
president and prime minister, but i hate both morons from
all my heart...

sorry to hear this tolstoyed ... yeah, Zizek has a bit of a
reputation ;) From what I know though, it seems he's given
up also - and resigned to writing books.

By the way, was Zizek even close in 1990/91 ?? (can't quite
remember when he ran for office)

it's a bit embarassing, i don't know what's he up to,
now...

and i can't remember how close he was to getting elected...i
imagine he was pretty far away as he doesn't look so good
:)...people here seem to vote based on candidates presence,
and well, zizek might seem a bit strange to most people :)
that's another problem here...idiot voters...

offline korben dallas from nz on 2004-04-30 17:14 [#01168788]

idiot voters and idiot candidates are pretty much a
universal phenomenon i'd say ... :/

but yes, Zizek (the person) is pretty eccentric ... it'd be
pretty funny, but he's probably not someone one would want
to represent a country ;)

idiot voters and idiot candidates are pretty much a
universal phenomenon i'd say

universally applicable to democracy that is

i guess so...but at least it would be fun to watch
him...which isn't the case with our surrent prime
minister...i want to literally smash with my head in the
wall...he's that annoying...

the paradox in this is, that the old people are the ones
that are the least affected by the outcome...if it was up to
me, i'd give the right to vote, only up to 30 year olds :)
