I am toying around 4-band compression in Reason 2.5 - sound
gets crystal clear!
How do you find mastering in Reason? It's compressor lacks
precision - not comfortable to set up. How to make it a
limiter?
Do you always use multiband compression?

i use reason only for making beats, and nuendo is the
sequencer.
i found out that nuendo has an parfect multiband compressor
which i always put on the output.
and as for the mastering goes i use tc electronic plugs.

yeah...it's an built in plug.

with the preset name FM radio...radio compressors do the
best job when the multibanding is in questions.
u noticed how tracks sound differently when they are played
on the radio or in our stareo?

How many bands can you manage in it?

I've noticed that without multicomp sound is uneven. Also mc
gives a little punch - makes all the material louder.

Oh yes, radio compression is damn deep!
I do not like it cause it sounds unnatural to me.

radio compression really sucks.. it seems like the same
process that goes into infomercials and those "girls gone
wild" ads that startle the hell out of you when they air
because they're about 10 times louder than the rest of the
television programme that you were watching..

Luscius sound - try to listen with headphones, you'll get
mad!

yeah.. it's maddening..
i do like the idea of multiband compression, however.
my friend has this "hexacomp" multiband compression
pedal made by akai, for his bass guitar, that i suggested
for him to get for a compression pedal.. since it was
"multiband".. or whatever.. it's pretty nice.. it can really
increase the punchiness/volume in certain ranges.. the only
thing is it'd be great if it was digitised and included more
than one user setting..
