i'm back home (from uni in vancouver) to the suburbs of
toronto. mother is away to israel to watch her father die.
father quit his job last year, a nervous wreck, agitated.
using his computer right now -- the history buffer (i didn't
check, it just showed up) shows some website for toronto
'escorts' websites. i really could care less for fidelity --
but i'm just so disgusted. i don't know if he actually paid
for this or if this is just bemused speculation but i don't
really want to know either. earlier this year he
accidentally left open some email to a singles website,
pretty desperate stuff. his blood sugar is dangerously high
and the doctor warned him that he's headed for a serious
case of diabetes, but he hasn't really changed his eating
habits at all. meanwhile i'm here in this suburban wasteland
-- moms walking their dog and dressed up in ten pounds of
make up to go to brunch at the local mall.. stressed out
about my own life, bored out of my mind, depressed for my
miserble family, and i have no idea what to do for the next
four months. help.

I also read it...
I just don't know what to say.
How can I help you? You haven't given me enough
information.
But deal with problems sooner rather than later.

my life is nowhere near as pathetically wrecked, but i got
dumped by my gf a couple of months ago, and am not doing as
well in school as i hoped. i just got my own shit to deal
with, you know. my mom wants me to move back because she
says the family is in a tight spot and needs me. i feel
guilty, but i don't think i can stay here. when my mom comes
back, things will just get worst. she is a neurotic who
lashes out at everyone. i've got four months of absolute
misery and nothingness, and then i'm going back to a school
i don't really like.

Have you told your mum how you feel? How all this is
effecting you?

if you don't want to be there permanently, i don't think
they should force you to be... the baby boomers have to
learn how to live their lives for themselves again...

like i said, my mom is currently in israel coping with the
impending death of her dad. i don't really want to whine
about how my summer isn't going as planned.

i'm utterly sorry to spout off these completely off topic
posts. i just felt like if i don't type this SOMEWHERE i'd
have to smash my head into a wall.

don't worry about it dude... i'm sure there are plenty of us
here who'd rather hear your concerns than have you suffer
silently... i hope all goes well
