I love to listen to chiastic slide on long journeys.
Generally all autechre works well as travelling music for me
as their stuff is best when listened to in whole albums, I
think.

the ive alway thought the fight club soundtrack was
excellent travelling music. lots of different moods, but
most of em upbeatishkindanotreally. i just think its great
cuz its somewhere in between attention-grabbing and ambient
background music, works well for carrides. lets you
concentrate on more important things, like smoking a bowl
while driving through the cop-infested center of town.

The only kind of music I like listening to whilst in a
moving vehicle is olde time rock and roll. Any olde time
rock and roll. First song that pops into my head when I
think of ''driving music'' is Riders on the Storm by The
Doors.

I need something with a steady, driving 4/4 beat. Electronic
music eschews that and it makes me drive erratically and
then I have to periodically exit the car to hide bodies.

lately its been:

HiM - Our Point of Departure
John Coltrane - A Love Supreme
me - everything (how introverted of me)
Ae - Confield/Draft 7.30
Black Dog with Black Safichi - Unsavoury Products
David Sylvian & Holger Czuckay - Flux and Mutation
Jeff Mills - Exhibitionist
Gdansk - Outcome002

the sad thing is, i can get throught the majority of these
albums in about a days travelling

for me, nothing beats global goon's vatican nitez for
traveling music. only bad thing is it's so short. also,
prefuse 73's one word extinguisher is good traveling music.

For travelling....I always liked bringing "Blue States -
Nothing Changes Under The Sun." If you don't have that in
your collection....I highly reccomend it. Check out tracks
1-5 if your able to through slsk.
