Anyone else made any of these? Recently did one for some friends without autechre in their lives. Poor souls. Kept it chronological, for coherence and also cos the earlier stuff acts as a gentle introduction to the 'difficult' (but in my view, superior) post-Tri Rep output. Tried to skew the whole thing towards accessibility as much as I could, and also to feature songs from as many different releases as possible. 1. Kalpol Introl / Basscadet (mix) Incunabula 2. Surripere (part) Draft 7.30 Particularly pleased with the VLetrmx/Cipater mix. Makes that beautiful synth in Cipater sound ever sadder. Incidentally, it's a fucking bitch fitting a decent autechre selection onto an 80 minute CDR. Hence the partially cut songs, which pained me, it really did. |

I like to think so. Don't think they'd appreciate the hatchet job I did on Sim Gishel/Cfern/Bine though. Ended it with the vocal sample from Basscadet ("Don't really have any idea 'bout what's going on"), which seemed appropriate. |

I once cut four different buildings designed by my favorite architect (using a paper cutter the size of the universe) and spliced them together with super-duper glue. The result was a building that looked like prehistoric diarrhea with a dab of bloody brontosaurus colon. hell yeah! |

Nice selection. You wouldn't want to be caught unawares for that transition between eggshell and gantz graf would you? eutow's an excellent one to end the 2nd cd on. the slowly incrementing crescendo coda for the last 15 seconds is killer |
