i love tim burton, i adore johnny.. but i really don't think he'd suit that role..
and .. remaking such a wonderful flim is sorta risky.. but it'll be interesting to see.

yeh but its burton and depp, i mean...

i dont think theyre trying to remake that fil so much as they are trying to remake the book.

it might be good, if they do it a bit differently.. instead of just "modernising" the old one..
and they'd better fuckin' call it "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" this time..
that has a much better ring to it in my opinion.

The first movie was kinda crap!
Gene wilder was good tho.
I grew up with this illustrated thing they used to run on swedish tv where Ernst Hugo Järegård the amazing actor who played Dr Stig in Lars Von Triers "Kingdom" read the book to the pictures doing like ten different characters with different voices and accents.
In his interpritation Wonka was more outrageous like The Joker in Batman.

yea, i guess you're right.
hm.. i dunno. i just really can't see depp playing a good willy wonka.. like.. his role in sleepy hollow.. i mean.. he's amazing.. but he didn't suit it and soemthing was missing.

yep. i hope it's a different perspective on the book instead of a remake of the movie. but, i'm pretty skeptical.
i really don't see how they can improve on the original ww.

the best part of the movie has got to be when they take the ferry-boat thing out and they start going faster and faster and all kinds of psychedelic visuals appear whilst wilder is singing "there's no earthly way of knowing, which direction we are going. there's no knowing where they're rowing, or which way they river's flowing. is it raining, is it snowing? is a hurricane a-blowing? not a speck of light is showing, so the danger must be growing, for the rowers keep on rowing, and they're certainly not showing any signs that they are slowing.. WAAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!!!!!!"

no, what i mean is that there ISNT going to be any songs.
i like the songs fine in the fisrt one.
this isnt gonna have any. the script writer didnt even see the original before he wrote it (under burtons orders). he went solely off the obok.

the loompa chants will be in it.
burton said he wanted to keep the feel and flow of the book in tact.
