Hi there,

is their an easier way to rip real media while streaming
than this?:

While streaming I record with Soundforge. But unfortunately
if the connection breaks down or dropouts... I also record
that.

Wish I knew- I have broadband so i can stream pretty much
anything and I record digitally through the fiber port on my
pc directly to minidisc.

So outside of increasing your bandwidth, I dont know if
there is a way to increase the cash size in realplayer so
you dont get into an underrun situation.

see if the folks at techspot know they are smart
little hobittses

godataloss- thanks for the techspot hint.

Yeah, sometimes it's easy to edit the silent bits. But if
it's minibits, it' s almost impossible to cut them out
properly.

This has been said a 10000 times in this forum:

Realmedia sucks!!!!! (it really does!)

isnt the whole point of streaming media to make it so you
cant save it? in that case, i doubt there would be an easier
way than what you say.

You can do it with a program called streambox vcr but it is
quite hard to find.

Realplayer is also a fucking agressive program!

Permanently reinstalling itself at autostart and trying to
connect to homepage.....

real alternative

i don't think it'll rip real media. but, it is a great
option for those of us who hate real player.

You need to look for a "Stealthmulder fix" for streambox to
get it working. If you have soulseek, you can find me as the
user 'desbo' and get it from me.

yeah for that alone I've always had a vendetta with
Realplayer. I don't like it when software starts to think
that it knows whether or not I need to use it better than I
do.

Fucking program.
