you said you can programme a drill break out of any
break in 5 min.. here are two breaks.
you can only slice them and rearrange tem.
compression and EQ are allowed but nothing else.
if anyone wants to give it a try go ahead. I'm gonna
give it a try too in a while. need to do some school work
fist.

isnie: Ok, I'm done, anyway I can give you the file (AIM or
SS) as I don't have anywhere to host it as a wav.

Okay, it's up as an MP3 here. First part is using
the loop2 sample. The bit after the silence is using loop3.
I know a bit of it sounds like I subtly used a flanger, but
it's all just done with re-arrangement.

they don't sound bad for 5 min. efforts. I do admit I made
it somewhat hard for you guys by picking two breaks that are
somewhat difficult to rearrange into a rolling drill loop.
if you can you can take whatever time you like to make it
into a good one. all the other rules still count though.

haha...the samples where a bit shit. I can't be arsed doing
drill though...does nothing for me, so I doubt I will be
taking this any further :P

I listened to Ceri's and Jeroens. It's good to see how much
diversity two little samples can produce :D

I would like to hear Skinks.

Skink email me it or something and I will bung it up
somewhere.

I've tried that 5 minute remix attempt... but I gave myself
20 minutes to work on those two loops. I have no past
experience to make music, I mean I've tried FL for like an
hour and hated my work. But I had time to kill, so I tried
it. Basically, 5 minutes to place the loops and do whatever
I want with them (I would mostly hit random stuff and place
them in the playlist). After that I did a 10 minutes live
FrutyLoop session just doing bizarre functions, then I
opened up the wave file that I recorded (using the SB live
"WHat you hear" function), cut out fastly everything I
didn't like, put some effects I wanted, and shazam! You can
hear some heavy edits, but hey I'm just a newbie 8) I just
wanted it to NOT sound like the loop, and I kinda based
myself on Autechre's Cap.IV after I landed on a sound that i
thought was similar to theirs in that piece but I never used
compression nor EQ.

I hope somebody listens to it

I had a listen. The volume is really low and you have
broken every rule that was laid down, but it was OK :D
