ok, this is news to me... i just thoguht id post it cuz i know some of you are fans of chicago rock like i am.
don caballero are back together. but, its a new band. its the drummer and 3 new guys. new material, just like its a new band. and their touring the u.s. starting in april.
however, ian (the guitarist, you might recognise him form a brief cameo in high fidelity chewing gum in the record shop) has a new band called battles. apparently, its kinda different from caballero. i think they have a vocalist and stuff.
anyway, i just wanted to inform some of you of this, if anyone cares.
theres a fanpage with this info, as well as the battles record label site.
lemme go grab those

Hmm. I always liked Bandfield and Williams. "Don Caballero 2" is among my favorites. No one can mess with track 4.
However, I'd like to hear Battles and the new Caballero.

"What Burns..." is the shit, too.
Did you hear about what Che did to Bellini?

Hahaha, sometimes he looks like he's mowing the lawn when he plays. Like he'd rather be doing something else.
Apparently while they were on tour, he was really drunk one night and flipped out in the middle of one of their sets. Packed up and went home, leaving the band there.
I can't remember if it was Pitchfork or some other site that I read about it.
The band I used to be in played a show with Bellini when they had just formed. He did seem like kind of a prick then.
Fun drummer, though.
