The users on that network (gnutella?) don't have very good
taste, or such was the case last time I checked. Lots of low
bitrate pop songs. Kinda like Kazaa.

I dont use anything anymore.... gave up, soulseek still is
the best for sure.... all around for stuff thats harder to
get.

id still use it if i had a PC, but I have a MAC.... but i
like ordering cds much better.

i have a Mac, and I have installed on my machine

LimeWire Pro (bought)
Acquisition (bought)
Poisoned (freeware)

I use Acquisition the most because it uses the gnutella
networks, but has features that are tailored for the Mac
GUI. LimeWire I use very occasionally because I don't like
the interface very much - I want an app that conforms to the
GUI, not something that kinda looks like Windows.

I have found it very useful for getting software from, to be
honest I haven't really tried getting much music

although I got hold of Roni Size/Reprazent "Brown Paper Bag
(vocal edit)" which I've had reak trouble finding in the
past

i haven't been able to find Sven Vath "Harlequin (Beauty &
The Beast" though :( I miss that track

i assume so :)

the thing with LimeWire is that you can get the menus to
appear in the Menu Bar at the top of the screen, but
LimeWire fakes it....it's like LimeWire hasn't been coded to
use the Mac GUI from the beginning

i mean ok, yeah port over an app, but at least tailor it for
the system you're running it on

i prefer Acquisition anyways....great app, well worth $15
(which equated to about £8 at the time i bought it)

i'd say Acquisition

but you can get slsk to work under OS X, you just need to
run it though Xwindows (X11)

and you need very good UNIX knowledge to install it
