Videogame-based movies suck hard

For real.

My friend forced me to sit through Resident Evil (which
sucked) and House of the Dead (which sucked worse), and i
remember seeing Street Fighter and Super Mario Bros. as kids
- god what awful films.

I really can't excited at all about video game based movies.
Even worse, Metroid is about to become a film - and it's
being made by the guys who did the American Pie and Final
Destination films.

There is no god.

Sure do. You can include Tomb Raider in the list under 'suck
hard movies'. Tron was good though - very good.

Hey Oddi want to check my latest track :D?

Thats verrrry sad to hear about Metroid.. American Pie =
worst series ever.

However, there are 2 you're forgetting about that are
classics - Ninja Turtles 1 and 2! (3 was a powerful lesson
in shite-tactics and faggotry of the film industry, but 1
and 2 were good).

Undoubtedly! Tomb Raider movies suck loudly, for example.
Super Mario sucked, too. And Mortal Kombat - wat was made
first - a game or a movie? Anyway, it sucked also.

actually, zeph.... you could easily argue that those were
based on comics or the cartoon before they had anythign to
do with the games.

Yeah well, the comic and cartoon both sucked SUPREME
DICKWAD. Seriously, you may THINK you liked it, but you were
probably 5 when you last saw it (except for mc_303 who
watches it daily), but if you download an episode to
re-investigate you will clearly see that the cartoon was
both WANKTASTIC and QUEERTACULAR. Therefore I win by
default.

It's all from the bitmap brothers. Old commodore amiga
legends in gamemaking. That animated face was from a game
called the chaos engine, and it was ridiculously lush for
it's time. I still am influenced by that graphical style
when it comes to art.

well, at least on one game.. Star Wars: Knights of the Old

i agree, that is a great game, but it takes more from the
books than it does the films. what we meant is games based
on movies, licensed titles meant to rack up profit from a
movie's success, or to boost publicity for the film.

come to think of it, Robocop on the NES was pretty good.

you can't punish an adult for his choices as a child. let's
leave it at that.

anyways, bill and ted on the NES? hoo-boy, that sucked.

never played it actually.

they're making a Max Payne movie too (old news) and Doom and
Duke Nukem films are currently in pre-production hell. Maybe
they'll blast their way out.

true, but just because you perceived something as cool 10-15
years ago doesn't mean it still is. Saying you did drugs as
a kid to your co-workers under the impression that you won't
be held accountable or recieve biased reactions in the
future from them doesn't excuse you from when such things
actually happen. Sometimes things need to be refreshed in
your mind to be truly taken into perspective, IMO.

No it's true, it's gonna star renowned A-list actors such as
Billy "Tae Bo" Blanks, Dolph Lundgren, Brigitte Nielsen, a
host of gangsta rappers using their rapnames and Frankie
Muniz who will be used as live bait for some Skaarj
troopers. Can't wait to see it! :D

I saw Mario Brothers in the theater many years ago, and I
left depressed and scared. So it probably sucked...

Double Dragon was awesome, though. Everybody was so
colorful, it was lots of fun. Wheeee! Abobo was absolutely
disgusting, and that's what counts.
