So I had nothing interesting to do tonight, so my old
roomate invited me to go to this club to see Busta Rhymes
preform. That's definatly not my taste in music, but since
she could get in for free, I thought ,why not. Well.. I have
never seen such a terrible show in my life. Busta spent like
20 minutes talking about getting booty and cars.. and how he
would seduce these girls and using hands movements and
stuff. Besides the fact that it was immensly boring and
lame... it was retarded and people just wanted to hear the
music. Then he goes off on how girls are hoes and called
every woman there a hoe and they all cheered (but what do
you expect). It was awful. I left after like an hour... and
only heard him do 1 or 2 songs. I don't really know what I
expected.. but I didn't think it'd be that retarded. Ah
well.

What a shitty show...

So I had nothing interesting to do tonight, and i opened a
thread where this girl complained about some show she had
the great misfortune of seeing and it made my life just a
little bit better.

rap is shit now

it's not about expression anymore (not a lot of music is
nowadays)

its just about money, "bitches" and "blunts"

Busta ain't never sold out...he is just getting paid. He
does the same shit now that he has always done. Sadly the
labels have fucked him over a few times...but he is a hard
working motherfucker who deserves what he gets.

much of that kinda stuff might as well be called "caveman
music".. all they need to do is just replace the animal-skin
drumming with much worse and even more basic electronic
beats and some extremely overused melody/samples and replace
"Oooga-booga!" with "Yea, uh huh, c'mon, what?" and if they
really want to get all fancy on us, they'll replace the
syncopated howling or "singing" of the wild dogs as they eat
the remains of the carcasses of the caveman's kill, with the
more annoying howling of an overrated female "r&b"/pop
singer for the chorus.. and you all know, the chorus's in
most pop/rap music are so damn difficult and mentally taxing
to create. i mean, one needs to be able to bop your head to
the beat before even hearing one bar of the music, and each
song usually must contain a memorable and discernable vocal
or sample from another track.

Elitest bullshit.

Most electronic music aint nothing but shitty randomised
bleeps and bloops that takes no talent what so ever.
Especially autechre, they just record static and sell it to
the IDM loving public who think it is work of genius. They
sit at home laughing at you all.

of course one could pose the question: why aspire to
anything more than achieving this very primal effect? if
this music is supposedly a means for us to link up with a
more primitive form of self from a distant past... why not?
is there something special about our current reality where
we hardly relate to anyone from behind our perpetually
regressing mediative shields?

today... i get up from the readings i am doing for my essay

the rez hits... when i'm just slightly buzzed i often talk

regularly... it's just really exaggerated in these times...
what i mean to say is... i suck, that's why...
