(i know there is at least one...)

i love the ambiance of this game and all the characters...
and i like the gameplay as much, if not more, than tetris!
(the game is also quite hard, very hard even if you get to
advanced levels - i don't think i'll ever be able to beat a
version of it...)

some links:
the puyo puyo museum
official site of the latest, puyo puyo fever (japanese)
mini game (with an awful background pattern... o_O)

I really like it!
I've played it a lot, alone and with my sister.
Me and my sister actually played for money,
and she managed to win quite a lot from me (comparing
to the amount of money I had back then).
perhaps not just happy memories...
but a great game!

When I play, I usually go for this sort of structure
(pictured below) as quickly as I can--complexity dependent
on available pieces.

can anyone reccomend me any other good japanese
games?

Guwange and Dangun Feveron are my two favourite arcade
shmups.

i love puyo puyo, although I'm not that good at it...

now that i think of it, i'm never that good in these gooey,
"liquid" tetris clones - i'm thinking of puyo puyo and
wetrix. i think i have something against goo.

i can't seem to get puyo puyo 2 or puyo puyo sun to work on
my mac, anyone else on a mac and got them to work?

yeah, it's japanese. it was made by the guy who created rez
and lumines and the guy who created kirby and super smash
bros. quite the duo.

indeed... i haven't played lumines (i don't have a psp), but
rez is also a great game. and i've played a lot of 3p/4p
games of super smash bros melee.
