I jave just now started loading my music little by little on to my new laptop, and i put up some track on slsk to share, and i had my friend try D/L something from me to test it. the transfer rates were horrible! i have an ADSL connection, he has cable. and we were downloading at 26 kbps average. i dont understand why that would be, unless there is some settings i dont know about. i have that little max DL speed thing next to the transfer box set at zero for unlimited and so did he. I have DL'd a couple tracks from people on SLSK MUCH faster than that. optimum for me was like 170 kbps. I was hoping i could put up some tracks and maybe some here with a fast connection can try downloading them from me to see if we get the same results. Anyone up for it? |

ohh men...why do d/l are slow sometimes and sometimes fast.... anybody thought about "TRAFFIC" ?? is was just a joke..i think everybody knows that ADSL should be much faster than 26 Kb/sec @intruder would do it...but can't use SLSK...so skip it ! |

im on adsl and it's working alright i guess...usually around 30kbps...sometimes up to 50 kbps - which is a lot better than kazaa or some other p2p program |

I find it amusing that coming from a country filled with people that still havent got the clue that toothbrushes are our friend, they have the nerve to call anyone any sort of derogatory name. furthermore, although i am european by blood, i was born and raised here. and of course i dont agree with everything i that my country does, i feel it a privelage to live here. so when some non speaking ass euro decides he wants to bad mouth my shit, all i can say is you dont like it, tell cousin mjolenor to stay the fuck out then. i mean i could see why jealousy is an issue. if all i had to look at all day were uptight, jacked up toothed, mangled face having bitches allday, i'd be pretty po'd. or maybe instead of my luxurious leather stitched high horsepowered automobile, i had to drive a shoebox with wheels, that wouldnt make me very happy either. so if you guys want to talk shit about something as idiotic a phrase-dont forget not all people can be as uptight as the brits-, then go right ahead. cause when i leave work today, in my big gas guzzling luxo, bumping my mega wattage stereo(you guys do know what that is right? or has technology over there not gotten as far as figuring out how to wedge a cd player and speakers into a fucking renault?) listening to some proem, i'll remember why i could care less. |

ADSL A = Asymmetric. Your upload speed is probably much slower than your download speed. You can only get stuff from your friend as fast as his upload speed and vice versa. |
