is this track great or what ?

i usually dont bring up tracks like this but i have to
praise it or something, i have listened to it sooo many
times and it does not get boring, damn the first part bass
session kickss!

the second style funky ass bass is so got damn flowish.

and dont get me started about that synth that comes around
and gives the song such a great klimax, and then and then
the ... that little silence hacky thingy before all the FX
and the whole intese music really starts man it's nice..

That FX in the end of the song hmm, i dont know what it is
it's like a big BUUUMP that just gives a really deep bass
hit in the middle of the song and it sounds HI quality got
damn, any1 know what i mean ? any1 know what effect that is
?

hmm, only thing that i dont love about this track is the
ending part with the drum solo.. a little bit too much
reverb for my taste.

What you think of this song ?

is it not one of Tom's greatest work ?

It's great, along with a lot of Ultravisitor. One of the few
inspiring albums of recent times in IDM, imo. While many
seem content with getting more and more glitchy and
mechanical, this throws traditional, good musicianship in
the mix too.

exactly, the track i like the least on uv is 50 cycles maby
becouse it sounds a bit too mechanical at some parts, i must
admit that it really gets my foot jumping when the real bass
kicks in.

the mixing of the record is very nice imo becouse he has
really layed out all the different volumes so that when u
listen to a song load, u get the tweaks and "fuck up's"
really really load and that was exactly how it was hearing
him live. i still cant get over steinbolt live, i remember
very little from the show and from songs but i remember
thinking of steibolt "hmmz it really sounds like some sort
of Good death metal"

it feel like i will never hear him playing live again, but
im really glad i have heard him once

Steinbolt is what Snares would do if he had talent.

what a load of crap.
steinbolt isn't that good. i prefere LOTS of snares tracks
over steinbolt.

I'm not saying snares is better then pusher or anything.
but steinbolt is mixed/mastered kinda badly. and the early
snares track do kinda sound like steinbolt.

"this is what snares would be doing if he had talent" thing
is kinda lame to say.somebody on this board said it and now
half of xlt are saying it to. BUCH OF SHEEP!!!!

Actually I am the original Snores hater on this board as far
as I know, so some may call me the shepherd. Shepherd of
men as it where, leading others to the path of
enlightenment.

Hehe, intresting to say that snares dosent have any talent,
he has rythm, i think.. but not so sure about his melodies..
i dont like them..

In the other hand, Tom masters them both.. And in his new
record he shows most of the side's of his music.. its
definetly a ride..

Vittu kun sitä levyä saa odottaa pitkää =)

Snares is alright once you get him. I mean who can beat
Childkiller remix. I have to say Squarepusher hasn't done
anything recently IMO to humble ol' Snares.

Not heard Ultravisitor?

A lot of people here have "got snares", had their fix and
there isn't enough in his music to keep you coming back for
more. If it wasn't for his prolific release rate there is
no way he would be held in such high regard as he is now.

i too think steibolt is way better than anything snares
produced so far, and i like some of his tunes a lot too. but
steinbolt is just the most intense song ever imo (at least
from those i've had a chance to hear). i'd love to see
snares trying to do some melodies, im sure his music would
sound way better...

snares is not good. He uses trackers and it sounds like it.
Not that squarepusher or rdj don't use trackers, but snares'
stuff sounds like a tracker. If that makes sense
