The Sportsnet theme, and then I listened to The Scientists'
self titled album because I was pissed off that I had to go
to work.

And then I was without organized noise for 8.5 hours. :_-(

THat's why it's important to not play the wrong music in the
morning, as it has a huge impact on how you will feel
(atleast) during (the start of) the day.
I remember when I had bought Brian Eno's "Apollo:
Atmospheres & Soundtracks" there was no other track I wanted
to wake up to - but "An ending (Ascent)"...
I even made two topics on xlt about that track (or even
more).
It's such a great track, puts me in a good mood... mm... I
shall listen to it when I wake up tomorrow.

damn fuggin bbc world news. the jazz station here always has
the bbc on in the morning when i wake up. i hate it. i need
JAZZ! or a new alarm clock. my old stereo used to have an
alarm setting, but the spinning of the 3 disc tray would
wake me before the music even started.

ambient, jazzy, exploring soundscapes...

everything he does comes out excellent - honestly :)

hmm, i think it's loop finding jazz records...but his
releases are quite different, so perhaps you check some
sample first...or maybe you could say what kind of stuff
you're interested in?

(Falling To Pieces and Greed are great, i've been playing
the former on repeat since a couple of days now... as for
Semolina, it is really fucking annoying, but somehow i like
it. very catchy too.)

do you mean this one?

it's "Improvisations And Edits, Tokyo 26.09.2001", album he
did with computer soup - a japanese improvisation trio.
personally i love it, but maybe you should check some
samples first cuz this is an live album which was later
mastered in studio. there's much improvization. it's very
warm and glitchy and it's quite obvious it has that jazz
structure tho it sounds totally electronic. if you like
improvisations and "experimental" music you're probably
going to like it...
