I recently got a bunch of their mp3's.
Easily one of the best drummers i have ever heard.

Get a track called "Who Ray" off soulseek now to see (or
hear) what i mean

Yeah man, add the user "desbo" (me) on soulseek.. I'm at
work now and can't remember if i'm online at the moment..
but I have this wicked video of them live, the drummer is
incredible, you should download it off me.

Sure. Although even if I am online neither of you will be on
my list so you'll have to wait till I get home to start your
downloads as I probably have a queue of about 8998398839.

they are fucking awsome. one of my favorites is the track
"better get a broom" on hold your horse is
which is a pretty fucking tight album

i'd love to see them live. i missed them when they came
through seattle last time. but i have heard that they are
amazing to watch perform live.

your icon is making me seizure horsefriend

you are right about their drummer, rudster. he makes me want
to jump up and down and break things and holler
incoherently.

what i find so incredible, is their ability to play so
tight. with all those crazy breaks, it's as if they are
reading eachother's minds. i hear that they are just as
tight when you see them live.

i have hold your horse is, good stuff. they have 2 really
nice tracks (fallam dynsasty and its a go in from a 2 track
12" i believe) those 2 tracks are some of their best i
think. it has a much grittier sound and more powerful.
they have another ep and a new album either out now or
upcoming but im not that interested in it, i think ive heard
all they can do.

they are aware of how lame their name is. they are from
sacramento or something so they named themselves "hella" as
kind of a joke. because everybody in california is always
saying that.

the album "total bugs bunny on wild bass" is also pretty
fucking awsome. my 2nd favorite. the new album "the devil
is red is ok but i think they use too much distortion on the
guitar and the mastering is not as clean as "hold your horse
is"

Whoa. It's really weird to see this on here. I've know the
guys from Hella before they were hella. My friend introduced
me to them when they were in a band called Legs on Earth.
Spencer (Guitar) is also in another band called The
Advantage with one of my friends. They play all old nintendo
(NES) songs. Hella is pretty popular around Sacramento and
San Francisco, but I didn't know they had reach past that.

well if you bump into them again, tell them evolume thinks
they are fucking tight. and if they come to seattle again
i'll go see their show definitely.

I got "Total Bugs Bunny on Wild Bass" today sight-unseen
after the guy working at my local indie record store
recommended them after I told him I was interested in
something "challenging". First thought upon putting it in
and hitting the play button - what the fucking goddamn is
this??? I like it. A lot.

saw them live a couple weeks ago.
it was jaw-dropping.

the drummer moves like a sweaty robot on speed.
i've never seen a guy play drums that fast. it's like 400bpm
drum and bass. he plays with the speed and intensity of a
paint-can shaker.

the guitarist is also pretty fucking incredible live,
playing guitar like it were a typewriter.

I may pick up another album by them or the Animal
Collective tomorrow. Maybe Meshuggah.

I'm currently on my third listen of "Total Bugs Bunny"
now. It fucking rocks. I dig the videogame melodies.

so i saw them too some months ago, and i found that very
jaw-dropping for like 5 minutes, then it bored me.

Another similar band is Don Cabbalero. In my opinion they
are better than Hella, same kind of loud complex drumming
with some prog alt guitar riffs, some of there tracks sound
like sigur ros too.
