Great track! I like the happy sound (without it being
crappy-pop)! not much happy music on this board. Only bad
thing, is that the hihats sound too (is generic the word?).

Cheers, I think the hi hats sound great.
Strange that u refer it to being 'happy'.
I dont think it sounds happy at all.
WHat do u mean?

well. it is just up-beat or something like that.

about the hihats, try to move them a little bit off the
positions where they were when you created them. a little
bit to each side... not much. and vary the volume a bit.
make it sound more real.

I liked it. First thing I've heard by u which has stuck.
Simple but effective. At the moment I'm feeling it.

I really like the way it builds... ooh that's not half bad
at all. You don't hear many tunes that you wished carried on
longer than they did, but that could have been twice as long
and not outstayed its welcome. Aces.

That's great!! Leave the hi-hats as they are they're
perfect, works well to make the live bits more so.. nice!

I have done a few bits, but alas, not quite in the same
league as your tunes. I have a few tracks here but
they're kind of sketchy. I can never finish anything. I'm
downloading some of your other tunes now, it's great to hear
something genuinely good.

Listening to wood beez, really liking the melodies on this,
very 80's hip hop feel to it. really like it

Down with skill, the snare sounds a milli second outta time,
the slap bass guitar sounds great, loving the vocal samples,
what are they?
I take it ur hip hop influenced yes!

Yes and no. Just happen to be hip hop/funk type tracks I
guess. I guess you could say I like funky beats. I'm
probably more electro than hip hop. :-)

rudster,

The samples are just my voice messed around with.

impressions of the tune

the mix i think sounds quite good, definatley one for
'phones tho..
the track itself i found quite monotonous; initally i was
anticipating something big to happen, the structure of
track holds a lot of tension, but doesn't give you a buzz
like. putting vocals in it would definatley help. it think

the approach seems very minimalist, and i respect that;
(minimalism is by far the most interesting way of composing
:D). tho there is too much happening for it to be classed as
minimalistic if that makes sense? (i know what i mean..)
the track seems very confused when the guitar solo kicks in,
it just doesn't fit with the track, and sounds maybe not out
of time, but out of sync.
the guitar loop that features throughout would imho, work
better as a counter melody maybe brought down in the mix. it
just needs a decent hook to pull it together, and lift it up
from sounding like a backing track. the ending also sounds
overkill on the fx, and too tacked on... would the 2nd chord
on the guitar loop sound better at a lower pitch? i dont
know. what would i know?

just a few points, fair enough if you dont agree, but don't
get me wrong, i didnt think it was a bad piece of music,
just that it still sounded like there was still work to
do...

Love this track rud, it goes very well when played after or
before ''90 degree run'', it has that same pace and feel to
it like something is building up and about to happen with
explosive power. I’m not sure what you had in mind
with this track but I still get the impression of a Formula
1 race going on. Maybe the next track could be a crash and
then the finish :) Thanks.

Thats really a great track Rudster. I like the kinda
hammondy synth which floats in. And I reckon the guitar solo
works well, despite what people say. Are you using two
guitars doubled up on the main riff?

PS.

Sorry about not contacting you about a jam but the drummer
was being a complete dick so I've scrapped the whole thing.
ce la vie

:D

Its cool gav, yous were all sound as fuck guys and you and
bass player were good musicians, i didnt think your drummer
was good tho. It was a good laugh. CHeers for gettin back to
me.

I'm actually startin up electronic/funk band with the
drummer and bassist from The Complete Stone Roses (Stone
Roses tribute band).

I'll give u a shout when we get gig

i'm all for repetition but this didn't have anything
interesting going on for me. it sounds like a test jam.
sorry i couldn't be more positive, but obviously i'm in the
minority.

hey yo, I really like this. I would have liked a little
more percussive variation, although that is just a minor
personal taste issue, all in all a cool track :D
