no topic about this brilliant album yet???

im listening to it now after quite a while and it still
sounds EXCELLENT.
i wonder if this album will ever sound outdated...i remember
when i heard "risingson" for the first time i was totally
amazed - just the best thing i ever heard.

always loved this one, and i probably always will... i
really like the title track, and the one about the fussing
fart...

i thought some tracks sounded a bit too much rock oriented
in the begining, but i love that now.
my favourote tracks:
-mezzanine
-risingson
-inertia creeps

and, particularly when i first heard it, i kind of wish it
wasn't... but... as far as i can tell...

especially for the vocal part...

(love)love is a verb
love is a doing word
feathers on my breath
gentle impulsion
shakes me makes me lighter
feathers on my breath

teardrop on the fire
feathers on my breath

in the night of matter
black flowers blossom
feathers on my breath
black flowers blossom
feathers on my breath

teardrop on the fire
feathers on my breath

water is my eye
most faithful my love
feathers on my breath
teardrop on the fire of a confession
feathers on my breath
most faithful my love
feathers on my breath

teardrop on the fire
feathers on my breath

stumbling a little

some people think that liking Teardrop, and thinking it's
beautiful is uncool, you know, obvious. but sometimes the
cunts need to shut up and listen. it's an amazing song and
to mention that album without mentioning that song is just
stupid.

This album is the best to make out to. It's even better for
what making out leads to.

Especially Risingson and Inertia Creeps.

lines and Protection.

"feathers on my breath"? o_O
i had read "fearless on my prey" somewhere else...

damn the absence of official lyrics.

after i got mezzanine i was getting more and more into
electronica as well...i was mostly listening to trip hop
before that, and rock before that...after mezzanine i got
interested into idm properly.
even tho when im listening to it these days it doesn't sound
that electronic at all, infact it's quite rockish!

either

but I still love it of course

its their masterpiece, when i heard their earlier albums
were excelent too i bought them but was a bit dissapointed.
Mezzanine has a certain feel and texture to the sound that i
absolutely love, its missing on there other albums. Teardrop
is one of the best songs ever made.

blue lines and protection were both brilliant at the time
they were released...there are mayn great songs on those two
albums, but both albums seem a bit outdated now...which
isn't the case with mezzanine - i don't know how will i feel
about this in 10 years tho...

It's really weird to read interviews with them from that
time. They basically just hated each other. Were hardly ever
in the studio at the same time etc. It's amazing how such a
beautiful and coherent album came from all that. Altough
from those interviews I get the impression that in many ways
it's more 3D's solo-album than an actual group-effort.
Infact, the other 2 members don't even really like it.

I love it though. Truly a classic album.

throughout the whole album. Its a fucking awesome piece of

I happen to have bought it earlier this week. It's great,
but would have been even greater with 100th window's What
Your Soul Sings and Special Cases on it. Teardrop is me and
my girlfriend's favourite love song :)

Uzim: Isn't Liz Fraser a synonym for unintelligible
lyrics? ;)
