Its good. Very deep. I saw it in the Cinema originally. I was going to see Kill Bill Vol 1 but was a day early then I wanted to see Finding Nemo but in the end the person I was with pursuaded me to watch Whale Rider.
I then got it out on DVD the other day to watch a second time and basically it trashed all the other movies I'd watched for the past couple of months. Its very moving and extremely touching piece of cinema with the subtleties which make a strong movie. Watching it a second time was an absolute joy!
