it has occurred to me that while browsing my music cd's and
files, its plain and clear that i favour, meloncholy...
extremely sad, minor music...

now that i've narrowed down my taste in music (slightly) im
asking you to post me recommendations, or at lease, what YOU
think is the saddest most meloncholy music you have heard...
my latest choice would have to be gustavo santaolalla's 21
grams score...

Elliot Smith (r.i.p)

He is (was) like the king of meloncholy imo.
Sad beautifull and raw poetry sung by a fragile almost
whispering voice.

I love Melancholy.. and agreed "AIR - virgin suicides" one
of the best albums when you are looking for melancholy
feelings.

I picked up a cd on a whim, thanks to Autechre's
collaboration with him on "Shadowland".

David Sylvian, he's one morose fellow, I tell you now. His
CD "Blemish" would make a Nazi cry.

"Shadowland" is a fake; Autechre had nothing to do with
that. Its just "Play At Drowning in a Sea of Indiependence"
with some Sylvian mixed in.
