Just a quick question. I just sold my powerbook on ebay and
they are paying via paypal.

When someone pays via paypal, is it safe to send the item
straight away? Can someone pay via paypal and then take the
payment back before it gets into your bank account?

it should be ok, they can try to fuck you, but there is
seller protection also

what model did you sell and for how much?

paypal is 100% safe

but wait if you want till you see the money in your bank
account

I would wait till the payment is in your paypal account,
then transfer it to your bank before sending the item. That
way they can not withdraw payment.

But I do not know the answer to your original question.

thanks for the quick replies!

I sold the new G4 Powerbook 15" 1.25GHz 768 RAM. It's very
nice and fast but I can't afford to keep it. I only bought
it in the first place because the college had shitty OLD
imacs and didn't work half the time. Now I bought the
powerbook their getting G5's!!!

I sold it for £1'550 which is pretty good, didn't pay much
more than that brand new.

I'll probably be replacing it with the G4 imac 15" 1GHz
which is only £930

hehe, well, although I've never run into any problems in the
40-50 times I've used paypal, I have some heard some horror
stories so I don't really know what to tell people when they
ask these kind of questions.
