Heh, I just bought it the other day as my second Plaid album after Double Figure.
The whole album gets five stars, for me. Imo, it's much better on the whole than Double Figure. Excellent stuff!

Heheh, that is a silly song. I don't know what that's all about. I love tracks 1-7, the rest doesn't really stand out. Except, churn maiden, that's a good one.

Well it definitely has one of those tunes that will get stuck in your head (in the second half of the song)

The first Plaid album I bought. It's pretty good but it's good some silly tunes on it, that's true.

Ralome makes me feel at ease with the world. Dead Sea into Gel Lab is a nice combination. I'm not particularly enthralled by the album though, it smells a bit like a compilation.

well considering i just had a long winded comment to make on this release, and it got erased! i will just boil it down to the most important aspects:
all the tracks are great, but stand outs are last thing remembered and air locked honorable mention goes to dead sea
i really like the entire album as a whole though, but strangely enough i agree with the compilation comment, i just think it all works together quite nicely - so many different moods in this album, its really great.

It's absolutely fabulous. Plaid have never really let me down. Although this release is a little more minimal than other releases, the calibur of song writing is simply marvelous. Plaid makes me so happy.

wasn't that Alison Goldfrapp ? [ or an Orbital female voice at least] i think it's written somehere in the inlay.
what's NOT written though is that Plaid used a melody of an Eric Satie piece [ "Danse de Travers III" ] on "tearisci" - check that !
i couldn't find any credits for that. if i didn't like Plaid i'd say something about "borrowing" ideas.

I checked the inlay and they thank Alison Goldfrapp also: Leila Arab, Nicolette, Clair Polton and even Chantal Passamonte (Mira Calix)
it is not listed in Alison Goldfrapp her discogs

i think plaid is good the same way orbital is good. theres a few really really good tracks on each cd a few more just good songs and the rest are only tolerable.
