Hi everyone. I am looking for a midi keyboard, nothing too spectacular is needed as I can do all the crazy shit on my pc, I just want something so I can actually play instead of sequencing shit, what's a good one? I've heard edirol and midiman are good. Also does anyone know a good shop to get them from (UK (online)).
thanks horsefactory

I have the Oxygen 8. Its just like that only with a few less knobs and connections on the back.

wouldn't one want more keys than that? i mean.. it'd be awfully tricky to get low-to high/high to low note changes without making multiple layers of the same instrument and making pauses for certain notes when recording..
'n' stuff..

i mean, you'd have to do two separate takes of the same instrument for a song, if you wanted to be able to include lower or higher notes than that 2/3 octave range.. you couldn't just play whichever high or low notes at the same time like a full sized keyboard could.
ah.. i suppose that it is good for some uses. if you just want to lay down melody and basslines and such separately.

you should also get yourself a pro-soundcard (i recommend delta audiophile) for less latency and better sound quality.
