i never used to do these --> :) ever..
since i've been on xlt theyve crept into my 'vocabulary' as a shorthand means of expressing positive sentiments to you all..
i blame you for this distressing increase in illiteracy. but i cant help loving you.. :)
that is all.

I used to use smileys, but I've gotten to hardened and jaded now. I'm an internet vet, I don't do shit like that.

if you're at all literate, you shouldn't have to use emoticons to lend zest to your writing.

Let's not forget that the literacy level across the board is a bit like a V. Snares track viewed in Wavelab: up and down like a mad bugger. So if those of us capable of expressing ourselves with a bit of intelligence could well come over as being either stuck up their own arses or incomprehensible. Which they're not.
Smileys are just an additional form of expression in text. I would rather go   :P   than say "I am sticking my tongue out at you in a manner which implies jovial humour with a hint of good-natured ridicule and an easy chuckle"
What I can't stand is this internet craze of typing "teh" and adding "izzle" into every word.
And typing "biyotch" instead of "bitch". And people who say "shrooms". They're fucking mushrooms! It's not hard to press two extra bastard keys!
And the so-called "l33t" speakers who substitute numbers for letters. Cos we all know that big brother Microsoft is dead keen on intercepting our controversial transmissions, and they'll never be able to with that ingenious code.
And those who pronounce the "d" in Wednesday. Twats. And what the fuck does "meh" mean anyway? I also hate anyone who goes "parp parp pa pa pa paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarp PA!" along to Pearl and Dean.
And, finally in this rant, I'll be hating anyone who thinks it's funny to say any of these things-I-hate to me in a reply, under the misguided preconception that's its amusing.
Don't correct any spelling or grammar mistakes.

I did use these for a little while. But I decided I should be articulate enough that I don't need them.
