they are allowed to do so? is there any trouble with the
record stores? anyway, thanks for the link :-)

No, I don't imagine they're allowed to do it... in large
chain store type environments like that (as opposed to
independant records stores) most staff would probably assume
you were doing something legitimate if they saw you putting
professional looking stickers on releases (as long as they
didn't read them!)

If you buy your CDs you have nothing to worry about....its
that simple! :P

Ha! That's fantastic.

Now they need to start labeling every item in Walmart with
"This store forces employees to work unpaid overtime" and
"This store sells below cost to drive small businesses
under, replacing good jobs with Walmart jobs"

You obviously didn't read the page in much detail. The poor
treatment of people who copy some cds is only part of the
reason they dislike the RIAA.

yeah, maybe it is wrong for a big corporation to sue a
family with limited income, but it is also wrong to download
mp3's without paying for them... shrug...

hmmm, but I guess it's not even wrong for them to sue
families... they have a legal right don't they, if the
family has song illegal mp3's on their computers... it
mighten be nice, but they're allowed I guess...

in a museum I was in one time...

well yeah, but we were allowed to photograph those
paintings...

and also, my point is that it is legally wrong to download
music for free... how is it not wrong? It's stealing... I'm
not saying I don't do it myself, cause I do from time to
time... but I don't try and pretend like it's not wrong, and
that it's my God given right to be able to have music for
free...

an interesting question. Is there a Van Gogh estate of any
shape and size? I'll find out about the copyright thing next
week as I'm going to have lunch at Auvers s/ Oise with my
Gran and they should know there.

ofcourse it is illegal and it always will be.

but the whole p2p thing showed me a beautyful world of music
which I never had discovered if it didn't exist.

because of p2p I do own a lot of original cd's, for me this
is the side many forget

Yeah you are allowed to take photos at the Musee d'Orsay as
long as you don't use a flash (especially in the dark room
with the charcoals). I really pisses me off though cos you
get all these tourists who spend more time looking through
their viewfinders than at the paintings. They should all be
burnt

quite. 99% of my electronic music CD collection is a result
of p2p

plus I don't urn enough money to buy every record I want to
buy, sometimes I buy them afterwards when they are cheaper.

why don't they make the cd's cheaper? as far as I know only
4% goes to the artist

fair enough... I'm not trying to appear all perfect and
shit, that's not my goal... cause I do download music for
those same reasons... sometimes I can't find the albums,
sometimes I can't afford them, etc... but, I also do think
people should eventually buy as much of the music that they
listen to as they can... it's only fair to the artists...

I'm not sure how it is in Sweden, but I don't think the
major recordcompanies pay the radiostations to play their
stuff...
in fact there was this debate about these commercial
radiostations that host their own awardshows - that they
forced artists/recordcompanies to appear as liveacts...
But then, of course, if they did send their artists to their
awardshows they were promised A LOT of airtime.
