The major ones- started with Green Day, then moved on to, in
chronological order-
-Metallica
-Black Sabbath
-Led Zeppelin
-The Who
-The Beatles
-then the Beatles turned me on to a million things at once
and showed me a world outside of rock. From there, it's been
all over the map, lots of little phases, but it's difficult
to track, too splintered. Tomorrow Never Knows had a lot of
say in getting me here.

Punk -> Hardcore Punk -> Indie Rock -> Funk -> Jazz -> IDM
-> all sorts of different electronica -> classical.

This isn't to say that classical is currently all I listen
to (obviously), but it is just the most recent genre I have
gotten in to.

Complete with ages ---->
- Italian piano house and cheese-rave, bad pop etc (3-8ish)
- Indie, grunge (manics, SFA, nirvana, pixies) (8-10)
- Orbital, vaguely mainstream dance, dnb (10-12)
- Aphex, squarepusher (12+)
- Autechre, tortoise, gy!be, more post-rock (13+)
- Minimalism, musique concrete (15+)
- Free jazz, silence (16+)

Which is not to say i don't still enjoy the odd nostalgia
trip down nirvana lane from time to time.
