So here's the deal: I'm on a good connection but
downloading from abroad costs heaploads of money but this
weekend downloading is free.
So I have to decide what to download.
So much music, so little time...

What would you recommend?
Is there something that has just come out and I should check
out or should I download some underrated/unheard of music?

I've been trying to get claro and qtio, but there seem to be
few who have it shared or the queue is way too long.

Get Eluvium- Lambent Material and sit back and listen to the
festivities, some nice ambient. And get Harry Nilsson-
Nilsson Schmilsson, just because.

Hmm, live in Bergen I think, it was from Norway, but can't
remember if it was Oslo or Bergen.

Is he playing some new stuff or is he mostly playing other
peoples stuff?

there are very few sets where you can hear him play his own
stuff - but at most two of his tracks :)

you could also get "exidy tours" by ceephax if you don't
have it yet.

I'll try to get that one. Is he anything like Squarepusher?

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2004-01-17 10:34 [#01037872]

hmm, yes, some tunes are quite simmilar to some pusher's
tunes, but in general it's pretty unique style. "exidy
tours" was surely one of top 5 releases last year. brilliant
album.
there's everything, ambient, drill, drum n bass, electro,
acid...excellent stuff.

Spacetime Continuum is well... a bit like the Future Sound
of London meets Autechre... I guess... and Double Fine Zone
has some live jazz elements to it. I really can't recommend
anything better.

I love music which combines ambient with drill and drum n
bass so this is something for me :)

I'll try and check that out too, sounds good. I can't find
much of it on soulseek though...

You can't find Spacetime Continuum on Soul Seek?... hmm... I
remember downloading all 5 of his albums from Napster back
in the days.

Note that I liked his stuff so well, I bought 3 of the
albums afterwars, and I still plan on buying Remit Recaps
and Alien Dreamtime in the future.

I've got both his LP's and they're good though I don't see
much of that ambient element in it.

download. I'll be looking for this.
