Brazil arrests American Airlines pilot over obscene gestu...

Brazil imposed the new rules that Americans be
fingerprinted and photographed at entry points in response
the similar rules in the United States for citizens of
Brazil and other countries whose citizens need visas to
enter.

Hahaha.. it's ok to harass people entering the US, but they
apperantly get all edgy if they receive the same treatment.

This war on terror will probably be laughed at in twenty
years, much like we laugh at the reasons for the Vietnam war
now.

When I was on vacation in the US this summer, I got a
questionnaire with questions like 'Are you now, or have you
ever been a terrorist?'. Sleep tight yanks, no terrorists
could possibly enter your country with tough checks like
that.

Too bad you're country is so fucked up it spawns the likes
of Timothy McVeigh.

that questionaire is almost a relic - Frank Zappa made a
piece about it on the Yellow Shark, with someone reading out
that questionaire.

it's not new? nobody I asked who went to the US before 9/11
got it. maybe they've resurrected it.

really stupid shit anyway. I guess if it later turned out
that I was a terrorist (like after I assasinated michael
moore) they could've added some years for lying to the
government.

btw.. the wording is wrong.. it's not like a mccarthy
hearing 'are you now or have you ever been a commie bastard
pinko'.

maybe that's what you heard zappa quote

south and central america, visit africa, visit asia... come

funny how one person from the u.s. behaving badly becomes
"they" and "yanks."

well actually, the pilot's reaction was close to being a
fair one... it was the behaviour of policy-makers and
reactionaries that is questionable...

but it certainly was a bit silly to title the post the way
it has been titled... apologies from the international
delegation...

the problem is that america is photographing everyone coming
in. whereas brazil is singling out americans purely out of
sheer spite.

america is being paranoid, and spending resources in the
wrong places, wasting time... whereas brazil is just being
petty spoiled brats.

i think it's funny what the pilot did.

why are Brazil being petty? If it`s good enough for
Americans to do isn`t it good enough for the rest of the
world. Isn`t that America`s ambition, to Americanise the
world? McDonalds in Siberia for gods sake!

The current administration are nothing short of fascist.
They are abusing people`s privacy and belittling their
integrity. It`s no wonder Brazil are doing what they are
doing. I wish more countries had the balls to stand up to
The US and make them see sense. Make them see how ridiculous
they can be.

War on terror my arse. More like totalitarian abuse of
privacy.

bye

brazil is being petty because they are only
inconveniencing americans out of sheer spite.

the us is inconveniencing everyone out of paranoia.

I don`t think it`s out of spite. I think they are making an
important political point. Maybe it`s bad to just single out
Americans...

the worlds fucked.

perfect paranoia, perfect awareness. Kidding, actually 9/11
was some pretty wacked shit in my opinion. Not justifying
anything, but it was wacked. Worst nightmare shit.
