telica,

Yeah Drexciya still do create top tunes. Drexciya were
definitely on top of the game back in the early nineties
though with releases such as 'Bubble Metropolis'. And of
course the latest Japanese Telecom shit is dope thats by the
Drexciya boys too.

i was there, cant remember much appart that he was masked,
in true UR fashion.
i think they played the set on the radio later so it must
be "out there".

Telica,

No I wasn't at ATP. Drexciya never seemed to play much live.

Oh I tell you something going back a few years getting hold
of new Drexciya vinyl was just so exciting.

The track you must check by Japanese Telecom is Nipponese
Robots, its an absolute monster!

offline hobbes from age on 2004-01-10 18:16 [#01027293]

drexciya never played live unfortunatly....
the object was to send dj stingrays first to explore....
if im not mistaken, James Stinton never left the u.s.

i am. i too love the world they created, and the production
is top notch. sounds much better than a lot of the half
arsed shite about today.

i particularly love the tracks Digital Tsunami and Powers of
the Deep.

I think as far as side projects I actually really love Der
Zyklus's Der Zyklus II the most. It's pretty great!

I still like the glass domain 12" but now that I have
listened hard to everything else it's much further down on
my list. Like close to the bottom.

-=UHU=- sounds a little similar to Japanese Telecom but it's
not Gerald Donald.

If you're looking for a similar style to Donald check these

only one way to find out, nacmat:

...is evil -- super record
age of discontent -- i really like the track "umen" and the
mix of clones reminds me of a cyborg virginpusher talking
over it.
futurist -- my favorite maybe? dominatrix is pretty great.

privilege of sacrifice is excellent, too.
can't complain about unknown works, either.

just get them all you crazy guy, i love ultradyne
