it's a pretty old misconception that schizophrenia is the same as having multiple personality disorder. it isn't, ofcourse. schizophrenia is all about the wacky dance of psychoses, mostly auditory hallucinations, sometimes visual, lots of paranoia. and as nlogax hints at, a pretty lonely place to be. |

what is it when you actually have multiple personalities? Someone I once knew supposedly had that condition but he was a pretty weird dude so it was hard to tell if his personality was changing any... |

MDS, Multiple Personality Disorder. but there's a lot of discussion whether this condition really exists. thing about schizophrenia is, it's a kind of garbagecan of psychological diseases - if we can't diagnose it, it'll probably be schizophrenia. not to say that schizophrenia as a disease does not exist, btw. |
