my keyboard. the one i am typing on right now. i took it
apart, popped out all the keys. i sprayed the plastic
molding that held all the keys with a handheld steam thing
then once that was dry sprayed it with compressed air. then
i soaked and scrubbed all the keys in soapy water. once it
was all dry i put it back together. good as new. took me two
hours.

you can clean the keyboard? / I accidently spilled a glass
of wine over a friend's keyboard, a week ago / I looked at
it today, and some of keys were really sticky / this is
great / maybe I won't have to buy him a new one

Are you sure it was wine that made the keys sticky?

I'm in utter shock and awe hearing this. It's another one of
those hugely important newsworthy events the likes of which
CNN can only dream of.

I have several dismounted keyboard lying around,

I like the plastic mats inside em heaps for some reason,
they have a nice rubbery texture, the like that you would
normally only find on a kinky sex toy

how strange, i was about to post "i think i am more likely
to just buy a new keyboard!," and then as i was scrolling
down i noticed that i had already posted that LAST YEAR.

The economic cost of your two hours of labor is exactly
equal to a brand new keyboard, but at least you had fun.
That's what counts.

you inspired me to clean up my room/studio today because
it's well cluttered, that and 20 people will be squeezing
into it today

Yeah, but it deepends. If you're in a nine to five job, it's
probably better to spend two hours of your leisure time to
clean the keyboard when you're not that busy, than to waste
two hours of wages.

take apart your vacuum cleaner and thoroughly clean it.
That's always a disgusting job.

i think he should just stick to bumping 3 year old threads.

that is a great idea, but too daunting of a task. i probably
will bump a few more old threads as well.

i'll call it 'a few old threads volume 07'
