if you go to the GC diagnostic program thingy (with the
options for games, memory card, calendar, and options) and
let it sit for a while (just got back from a movie so don't
know how long it's been), the 'cube will start playin some
nice ambient pads! It's fucking ace of Nintendo to throw
that in there. Makes some good background music to
xltronic!! ;D

did you ever play music on the sega saturn? it had a space
shuttle that flew through space.

actually, you'll want to switch it on withOUT a disk in it,
or just turn it on with the disk door open. ;)

doesn't all new gaming consoles have this ambience? the ps2
makes wave-sounds... if you have a surround-system, and a
DTS optical cable connected, it's just like being at the
beach... without the beach.

Sweet, I'll look later

The Dreamcast one was pretty nice, the Sega logo faded and
some swirly lights raced round the screen

well ocean waves is more like straight up "ambience" as you
suggested... The GC thing is like a synth pad going through
an airey little progression, it's muy nice! :)
