how awesome is this?!

it's always possible it's one of the 2 or 3 or however many
ever made. but still, only selling for 16gbp? i'm surprised
there's any bids at all. anyone wanting to have mfm has
gotta know it's not possible to find it anywhere at all.. i
dunno about some people these days.

i DO like the MFM tracks, even if they're not by aphex twin.

i always thought that the patches, drums, and sequencing
always sounded like aphex.

they're for real, i'm sure. streamed and recorded off the
warp site i think? don't quote me on that.

it's just the six bids on that auction that made me laugh.
if you know enough about what it is, you should know you
can't get it anywhere except the net.

If it is Richard, it could be. It's the most rubbish,
unemotional thing he's ever done!!

That's why it's un-released...

yeah but the overall feel of the tracks is that they're
kinda shitely produced...he managed to make basic synths
sound amazing on some of his stuff

there's plenty of people on ebay trying to make a quick buck
out of unreleased & live material on cd-r. if you're bored
create a new account and fuck them over by bidding
ridiculous amounts on all their for sale items. or report
them to ebay. the 1st option is more fun though. and
probably more effective.

you're not missing much. there's now a 'perfect' lossless
rip of mfm doing the rounds - if you can find it! :)

where's joyrex when you need him... he owns one of the
original cassettes.

the tracks are from cassettes distributed to friends, so
they weren't necessarily intended for release (so they are
less produced and polished that you would ordinarily
expect). "fingerbib" from rdj album is the only track from
mfm that saw proper release in edited form, i think.

unemotional is the last word i'd use to describe the tracks.
i like some of the tracks quite a lot, i would describe it
as afx doing global goon, very whimsical and lighthearted,
mostly.

this whole bid is rubbish.
just someone who d/l all the MFM tracks and burned it onto a
cd

i do love all the stuff from MFM, at my last anime
convention, i was very surprised that someone accualy used
one of the tracks for their AMV. it was amazing too. i can
send it to those with fast connections if your interested.

and I have to say it is good.

i'm missing "logon rock witch." i've got two sets of mfm
files, one at 128kbps and one at 160. there are, as has
been pointed out, far better files out there.

true, any mfm cd is just a burn from the mp3s, and there's
no way to know the quality before you buy.

gwely is right, this ebay sale is basically a scam.

*sigh* another fake MfM recording on the net:

1) it only has 11 tracks, the real MfM has 12
2)This guy can't even write let alone pull off a good
scam...
