This is really a very moving release - recorded after Lennon was murdered... if you are a Lennon fan, I think you will find this release very emotional - I had shivers down my spine and through my head several times listening to this. The re-release has two bonus tracks, one of which is an acapella Ono recorded the day after Lennon was shot.

The thread title should have been "Yoko Ono - Season of Glass"... I think the "-" deleted itself and what came after... so, the album I'm talking about is... Season of Glass.

Is there any Yoko Ono solo work where she's just plain yelling and screaming? I swear I heard atleast 1 track like that from her.
I'm interested in that material.

I love some of the solo stuff she did on the Lennon albums. I need to get a solo album of hers, she's terribly underrated imo.

Yoko was really rich before she married Lennon, her mother owned the biggest sweet factory in China before she married Mr. Ono, her mum still kept her original family name, she was known as Penny Chew.

You might have pulled that off if not for the fact that she is from Japanese stock, not Chinese... but hell, what's the difference eh?

what's interesting about yoko is that if the bulk of her early recordings were anonymous or under a psuedonym and people didn't know who made it, a lot of experimental fans would love it. you know, the type who play "drone" music on their college radio shows. but cos it's the woman who "broke up the beatles" the music will be forever slagged off.
it's good for what it is. it's not sunday afternoon music. i wouldn't buy it but i hear definite worth and spirit in it. yoko is, or at least was, quite creative and daring. good on her.

It's not really Yoko's fault. John came off as the kind of guy that would do irrational things. I still don't like her, though. Why? For having a spoiled brat for a son and I question her motives... .
