there's always someone in the family who gives you cash for christmas..
..which is great, because it means you can go out and buy exactly what you want, instead of having to hope they get it right.
so, what albums or tunes would people reccomend we all rush out & but in january with our christmas money?

Good point...I don't know when it will be finished.
Basides it will be quite cheap anyway, you should be able to afford it any time of the year. :)

Matt Elliot - Mess We Made Kid 606 - The action packed mentalist brings you the motherfucking jams
Richard Devine - Asect Dsect Odd Nosdam - No more wig for ohio
Yeah... I know a few of these aren't new... but they have all lasted me a good while.

i have the kid606 lp on minidisc already.. moments of genius amidst a sea of silliness. on occasion he really loses the plot.. and not in a good way. was good fun when i saw him live in october 2002 though.

Oh yeah... RJD2 - Deadringer
Amazing CD. I was obsessed with this album for over a month.
And the new Machine Drum is a reasonably consistant album that will not dissapoint.
That new Jimmy Edgar album on warp looks interesting too.

i have the rjd2 record on md too - its pretty good.
favourite artists include: plastikman, afx, herbert, bjork, squarepusher, plaid, boc, au, sugarcubes.. styles i like are: 'idm', 'minimal techno', 'detroit techno', 80s hiphop, jungle/drum&bass, 80s synth stuff, punk (clash, pistols), postpunk (joy division, cure), bands like pixies, warp stuff, rephlex stuff, some ninja tune stuff, charles mingus/john coltrane jazz..
err.. i tell you what - rather than me wasting time listing everything i like - just suggest stuff you like & sum up what kind of sound it is.
im not interested in country or death metal.. but other than that, im always keen to get into new artists/sounds..

Well. I don't know what to say... I stand by the Matt Elliot cd. Its beautifull. Pretty much unlike any electronic music I have come across.

thats cool. there are quite a few cheap online cd-stores now. apparently the big cd companies in the uk are trying to take one of them (cd-wow i think) to court..
