haha you have been a right funny fucker the last couple of
days :D

promo: Noooo, I don't really like this one as much as No. 4,
it sounds like cheesy 80's music. Some people will love it,
it is happy, chessy and fun sounding...actually it's not too
bad at all :P

Pretty nice...it has a really old school flavour about
it...nice programming though...I like the effects you have
used.

Shit this track takes me back years...I feel all nostalgic.

ecnadniarb,

Cheers man. Yeah its definitely more of a commercial sound.
Miami Vice kinda really sums it up. Its quite an oldee too,
I did this one 5 years ago back in '98.

Spacecadet,

Thanx for hijacking my board. :-)

Checking your track out now. Your trax kinda reminds of
Clear Records' stuff, its not bad. Sounds a bit like
Clatterbox. I think it'd be nice if the notes were a bit
more impacting but I'm going to listen to it a few times.
Nice rocking beats for sure though. Very Clatterboxy your
trax for sure.

Nah I'm just kidding. Free world and I'm the last to say
what people can and can't do when it comes to promoting
their trax. :-)

Always glad to return the favor...

Definitly brings me back, old school flavor, the white noise
over the top keeps it back in the day. Good drum beat, some
solid little nuances there.

Yeah, 80's miami beach techno... oh man... the Guido's would
love this

Like the squitchy hi hat sound, the break at 2:30 would be
cool with some more defined call and answer stuff between
the guitar and the mallet patch, like 2 by 2 bars jazzy
style. Did a good job with the drums, was it programmed or
sampled? Guessing sampled by the way it sounds, using the
reverb to make it all sound like it's on the same sound
stage. Works well.

Some little problems like when the reverses come in around
1:20 or so, made me twitch, didn't flow. Little bit
repetitive for me over all, I get tired of the melody about
a minute in. I'd love to see a bass line besides the pads to
give it the same energy that the drums have. Little bit too
much reverb overall for my tastes, but hey, that's the 80's
sound for ya.

Nice track!

Yeah ok... there's a really weird stutter at the end of the
drums, like a quarter of a second, but noticable to my ears
when I listend again... like the loop is slightly out of
sync

Like at 1:54-1:55 and again at 3:13-3:14

Weird

Unfortunately it is as is. I don't have the original midi
trax anymore. If I had the original I would have given it
more variation for sure. I did it back in 1998 so I was
still learning at the time.

No samples in the track at all. Its all 100% programmed. To
develop it more I'd have to recreate it or sample it again.
Its a shitty recording too 'cause its been rerecorded into
digital format from analogue tape. I too would have liked to
have advanced this track a lot more but unfortunately the
original midi track got deleted. Maybe I can find it if I
search around. Cheers.

Sanguine,

I like your white noise comment thats killer man. I wondered
what you were talking about but thats actually tape hiss and
wasn't intended but now I realise its probably quite cool
within its context. Lol.

Yeah, the white noise thing was one of the first things I
noticed... was trying to figure out if it was intentional or
not and just realized it fits

I think my ear is getting better, reviewing people's tracks
like I try and do helps me see details I wouldn't otherwise
see in my own music

needs more random french vocals.

The Bro - Old Ain't Bad : Hmm, not impressed by the
beginning beat and bass combo :D Sounds like march of the
casios, 1989~! hehe.. not such a big fan of this one --
don't really like the instrumentation, to be honest :)
