Looking at the number of music DVD?s (by mainstream
artists) available for Xmas in shops, i wonder if, in the
next future, albums & CDs are going to be replaced by DVD &
labels by P2P. Also, I wonder if people are still buying cds
from labels like rephlex, warp etc... Or it is just fans
like the people at xltronic or watmm who do this?....

Maybe in 3 years, people who buys CDs will be like steve
buscemi in the movie ghost world!!?

when i was in high shcool my money went to: in this order

Once the network can supports it, all these physical forms
of memory & storage will dissapear....give it 10yrs when
Hispeed WiFi is everywhere...

(Older formats will continue, of course, CD like Vinyl, has
it's fans...)

when BT have finished developing the neural computer you

meaning to getting a song stuck in your head.

"it really sounds like nickelback or creed"

:-o

I strongly disagree. Especially when you're talking about
early Pearl Jam (no code & backwards). Pfff... creed and
nickelback wish they could ever write something like
that ;-)

I bought the Lost Dogs compilation today. It's alot
of fun! Altough it proves once and for all that PJ are very
bad at judging their own material :-p Alot of these
album-outtakes are much much better than any of the songs
that did make the album. Strange. But I'm happy with this cd
anyway :-)

About the topic: I think so but i hope not!

i think pearl jam (even i think they're crap) are related to
this thread, they release lots of CD, DVD : maybe because,
they wants some cash, as lots of people dload their stuff.
My question was: will CDs be gone in 10 years?

(& rephlex & warp, too; because no CDs, no labels) ?

i

you can download all pearl jams albums at from mp3 - full
wav files legaly and for free, straight from there official
site.

i dont think they really give two shits about the cash.

well don't overlook the fact that tons of stuff that's
released on vinyl isn't released on cd - tons and tons

cd's are not going to turn in dvd's that's for sure - there
are other formats out there superior to dvd - it's a gimic
that dumb people buy into - remember when gold cd's came
out? superior audio? right...no thanks

people will keep whatever format they like alive

i could just see compressed audio cd's being sold and able
to play everywhere - allows for more exposure than just
80mins real time

me thinks
