Who here on this board has dreads? Anyone? About another month and my hair should be long enough.. Ijonspeches - you've got dreads right? At least the pic you submitted featured a dude with dreads. :P I'm planning on going the dread-wax route.. anyone have any suggestions? |

i'm toying with the idea of dreads but i dont think they'll suit me. i think when i get sick of long hair i'll get them, then if they look rubbish i'll cut em out |

dreads are nice.... ...if they grow naturally... otherwise you'll get all kinds of loose stringy hairs and stuff.. it's a bitch to maintain.. |

i had dreads, grew them the natural way, but it took me forever cause i have plain (no curls or whatever) hair. |

My hair is really thick kind of straight/kind of curly... its mostly straight but it curls/flips up at the ends.. It's pretty thick though so with dreadwax I think they should turn out decent.. |

i know mate! every single time i've been to a hairdressers in my life i've never like what they've done. for years i just used to get my dad to shave my head every couple of months |

yeah man you should never get your dreads done in a day they look so shitty what i did was i put my hair in some braids, tied off the ends into knots and then washed them with soap instead of shampoo for like 3 months it took a long time but they're not greasy, they don't smell bad, and i can wash them all the time |

my hair is no where near long enough yet but i'm letting it grow out after a decade of shaving my head, and i hope to maybe have dreads or braids someday.. don't know if it will suit me though |

Well he may definately be stoned, but dreads (clean, good dreads) take a LOT of work to maintain. aquagak - dude, why? I've seen some hardass dreadlocks on white dudes, you just have to have the right type of hair and do them right. |

I've had dreddlocks 3 times in my life.... and I'm preparing for my forth...... this time in dreddlock mohawk form :) I LOVe having them.... plus, by now, it's part of who I am.... the first time I got them was in freshman year of highschool..... then senior year..... then when I turned 20....... I'm now 21 and my hair is getting long..... |
