With current property prices here, even "successful" people have to move back in with their parents occassionally. It's nothing to be ashamed of.
I'm back home for a year after having moved out three years ago... it sucks, but it's free :)

My mother, a week before she died, told me I "never finish anything". This has given me the motivation to do a lot of "finishing" the past few months since she passed. So, don't be too hard on yourself about it. Just find some motivation.

good point jivverdicker..
definitely dont be hard on yourself nacmat.. in time youll work out what it is you are "supposed" to be doing with life (im banking on the same thing). it happens to everyone.
and if all thats wrong is a motivational problem and feeling a bit disappoined about where your life seems to be stuck, then remember it could be alot worse.
theres hundreds of cliches about this kind of thing (at least you have your health etc) ..but theyre cliches because theyre actually quite true.
dont get too despondent.

"not working since last year to end my final degree project but I never finish it"
"well... I am looking for a job in some architect studio finally.
I ll try to finish my project while I work"
Yes, i think it would probably be a good idea to find a job. Any job really. It seems to me there are two kinds of people... the ones with self-discipline, and the ones without ;-) I am definitly one of the ones without it myself. Having no responsibilities makes me lazy.
I paint and make drawings and stuff. It is my dream to eventually become a children's book illustrator. When I just graduated from artschool I didn't want to get a job either, so i could focus on my paintings instead. But I did absolutely nothing for months and months and months. Felt really bad about myself. Guilty and worthless, like i was just taking up space :-o
But now that i have work (just as a mailman, it has nothing to do at all with art) i feel alot better about myself. Like i am contributing to society in a very small way. I can't really explain it, but it made a huge difference for me.
And I do alot more painting too, even though i have less time for it than when i didn't have a job.
Probably also because i realise now that delivering mail is definitly not something i would want to get stuck in for the rest of my life... it's really motivating i can assure you :-p
Ofcourse a job in an architect-studio would be even better for you... i hope you can find one!
I also still live with my parents by the way (well... just my mother), and i'm 25.
They say that after you've lived on your own you can never go back. But i haven't lived on my own yet, so i don't really mind :-p
I've registered to get a place of my own. But that usually takes many years. Especially if you want a cheap appartment ;-) So I'll probably be living with my mom for a while.

Don't feel bad, nacmat... it took me a little while longer than average to finish university, but it's been totally worth it... especially when I saw the statistic about how many people don't.
I agree that having a job in order to put some external responsibilities into your life would probably be a good thing... ditto what surrounded said, basically.
And yes, we love you here! :)

you're not a disaster, you're a work in progress.
what you've done is not as important as what you are doing. in the end it's the little things that will count most, words and acts of kindness. focus on your successes, no matter how small, and forgive your failures.

Having your own house or money isn't what makes a person. What makes a person is the number of bitches you buck in a year.
Obviously your own house helps in this quest, but you just find yourself girls who like doing it outdoors and buy a tent.

You're not a disaster, look at your post count! You're a living legend!
Who cares about living with your parents. Moving out is not some big thing, it's not a gauge on how successful or unsuccessful you are at all. You'll finish your degree and be off and running. And you've always got modelling to fall back on. You could hang your heart on those cheekbones.

i was also born in 1975, and im a mess as well haha...apperantly it wasnt a good year, but i try not to think about it
anyway, i too live at home (same place ever since i was born haha), but luckly my parents moved out about 10 years ago - i guess they were fed up with me...seriously tho, i speak to them on the phone almost every week, and during summer i visit them almost every weekend (but thats just cos its convenient - they live at the seaside, and well i get a free place to stay at, with service and everything haha).
i work at the same place i started 10 years ago...i still havent finished my final degree (i keep telling myself it was cos of work...but thats not entirely true)...anyway that degree wont change anything about my pay or line of work so i stoppped thinking about that.
i dont get anything out of a day as i cant manage my time to well, im always in a hurry...so i relax here with posting every night...i do it even at work heh...otherwise it would be just to stressful :)
i should have a familly by now, but instead i spend most of my money on music...i like going to gigs (im 28 but acting like i was 16), i get stoned almost every friday, saturday, sunday, sometimes even during week...
i treat most of my friends like shit...i dont answer when they phone me if im not in a mood, i always find excuses for not going out if i dont feel like it, but hey, they dont give up - so either they're masochists or im not that bad as i think i am :)
anyway, most of this stuff bothers me, but i try not to think about it too much...and im always thinking about how im going to change one day, but at the momment im too lazy and exausted to do anything about it...
but i do like aphex twin!!!
