my new piano/piano-piccolo composition(s)

i just recently wrote this piece - it is based off some
chord progressions and basic melodies i wrote in another
track in august - "sylvia's rainbow" (written for
corrupted-girl (sylvia)) - there are two versions - one for
piccolo/piano at 80bpm - and the other for piano, 100bpm

i hope you enjoy them.

piano and piccolo

piano

I just listened to piano and piccolo.. I like this a lot
man, though the piccolo at the very beginning seems a little
cheesy.. just when you get into those upper octaves it
sounds kinda fake... but I very much like the piano and the
melody.. I'm downloading the piano only version now.

damn the piano is even better... I really like the
progressions you used in both songs.. Maybe it's just me,
but in some of those transitions it feels like im listening
to something off druqks!

thank you - yeah - my software/samples kind of limits the
recording - but the writing is what im really trying to
focus on

"I really like the progressions you used in both songs.."

I meant the progressions, they're the same in both songs
duhhhhhh. =D

I would like to hear an all piano version at 80 bpm or so..
I've come to the conclusion that I like the music from the
piano only version but the speed of the piano+piccolo
version. :)

not bad man, not bad at all!

You have some nice melodies going on in there.

I do think some parts kind of rambled somewhat, and there
was "empty" spaces in the harmony at times...

but over all, very nice :)

(I like the piano version better. Easier on the ears :)

:)

yeah - i just uploaded both to give a better profile of the
song - because i didnt really like the sound of the piccolo
too much either - but yeah - thanks a lot for listening :)

it's no problem man, let me know if you ever come up with
any other versions of this song, especially if it's a
slower piano version ;)

i did get to listen to this then corty and my thoughts were
that they are good melodies, but like everyone else says,
the samples could use some work. or, you can just drown
them in heavy, heavy layers of reverb. can't go wrong.

it's a nice change of pace though, not many people make
things like this.

I think the track is perfect as it is. Its a complete piece
in my mind. Good bloody job!

I love these pieces, I would like to hear the piece without
the piano a bit slower. These songs are cool on their own,
but you should consider adding some drums to that baby.
Also, I think some traditional Asian instruments would
really add to the vibe of the songs, cause that's the image
that pops up in my head.

thanks for listening guys

kochlear - if i had the resources i would get better samples
- i personally prefer the piano one, because the sample is
(at least in my opinion) believable.

ThisIsntMusic - i was thinking about that - but i wouldnt
want to pervert the original by doing that - i will do a
"remix" of sorts with asian instruments and drums possibly.

this is pretty cool, altho with only a piano, its sounds
kinda empty, prolly just from listen to all the idm with
layers upon layers of instruments. very well done none the
less. btw any chance i can get a midi file of this or
something, id love to do a mix of this.

I think the piano sample sounds good, and I don't think the
piccolo is even that bad, just in the upper octaves it
sounds kinda fake. I personally don't think this song needs
anything but piano. It still reminds me of a druqks piano
track, just more upbeat. :)

g'night, more studying for me before I can go to bed... =/
this song makes a good study song though. It's soothing and
stimulating but not distracting :)
