For about a minute I thought I'd just torn the cones in my
speakers... I'd got some really floor shaking drums for a
dnb track then I started adding a percussion loop and I
didn't realise I'd messed up a compressor connected to that
loop player it sounded like it was underwater. I thought it
might just be that loop, so I loaded another one (in the
same instance of the loop player) abnd it too sounded
underwater.

It was only upon loading up one of my old tracks that I know
inside out that I realised all was well. I'm so relieved...
I couldn't live without my speakers on my pc.

Good good...so when do we get to hear this drum and bass
track? All I have ever heard from you is ambient. :P

He he, there's lots of drum and bass tracks- they're just
being "fine tuned". I like them so much that I don't want to
ruin them by making them available when they're unfinished.
This particular one is more a hardcore track with dnb
percussion, but I've also got slow (150bpm) jazzy stuff with
strings (what I call "race jazz"- the sort of music you get
in night levels in driving games), more "tech" stuff (like
optical, but not as good ;) as well as your standard club
dnb. Some mates have heard early version and they've been
well recieved. I put one track on as we were getting ready
for a night out and my mate was bopping his head along
subconciously as if it was a proper catchy track.

I'll shut up now as I don't want to build 'em up then for
everyone to think they're gash when I finally put them up...

I've done lots of stuff other than ambient-trip hop,
illbient (okay, so that's similar), drill and bass, minimal
piano. It's just recently the tracks I've ULed have been
ambient :)

I watched my friend break the suspension on his two 15" subs
in the back of his camero.

No caps, and with a huge amp, he just blew them to shit.
