has anyone heard this 19 year old (punk!) recent
warp-signee's album? from what I've heard it's pretty cool..
nothing special - he's like a prefuse 73 wihtout the texture
and about 15 extra bpm

i read he's just releasing a lot of "artsy" photos instead

he played me some of it over AIM.. that was a bizarre
experience.. anyway, what i heard sounded good but i'm not
all that familiar with his music. there was a lot of
variety, perhaps so much that i'd be surprised if he put it
all on one album.

i asked him if he wanted to make a few seconds of music to
intro my radio show and he was excited about it till he
remembered his Warp contract which says stuff about
exclusivity and broadcast rights. kinda weak but you gotta
play by the rules when you're a new jack.

What I've heard so far = not my cup of tea. Will check out
album once it's out. Lucky git though getting on Warp...

the 15 extra bpm sounds interesting.

jimmy edgars merck album was bland to me (my mines i).
technically he is very good, but i dont hear anything that
makes me want to listen to it more so than any other random
group.

the warp ep is nice too, but again it really doesnt seem to
go anywhere interesting to me. his sound is crisp, i just
think the application is boring, not even that interesting
to me at all. so i guess im hoping he changes up, but we
shall see.

His e.p sounds like a mixture of Prefuse 73 and D'Arcangelo
