2T - Maching
It's quite a cold/dark kind of track. Spent a few days
working on this one, really happy with it. :)

good melodies and ambiance. The only thing would gripe about
is that the song doesn't do much or go anywhere.

Hahah.
Yes... there are changes, but they're incredibly subtle. I
suppose it would work being a minute or so shorter, but I
really like stuff that's repetitive to an extent - I think
it's kind of hypnotic and takes over you, or some bullshit
like that, anyway.
Thanks for listening. :)
Darius - only if you dance to it.

yaya i like this beat, cuz the timing goes all fucked up
somewhere..... and i lose it.... but that's good

i think the changes are quite noticeable.... its only
becuase the drums dont change that it sounds repetative

but i really like this track, would make for a good driving
song!!!

Yeah, the drums are changing throughout, but most of it's
very subtle (just a differently placed hat in one bar or
something).
Thanks muchly. And great avatar. :D

I like it. Not really my style, but nice nevertheless.

Was good, but the drum sounds did nothing for me. Everything
else though, thumbs up.

yea i like the glitchy sounds and the distant melodies in
the background, maybe you could bring those out more so the
track doesn't sound like it's a drum loop with all of the
development hidden beneath it

maybe you should make music for yourself instead of other
people.. i make music and i could give a fuck what anyone
here thinks about it. as long as you're doing what makes you
happy what else matters? it's not like you're ever going to
be a star. some people here have valuable advice for music
but you're better off getting it by email or messenger
programs where there's no temptation for people to ruin the
topic and you can really talk in detail about your track.

Cheers man. I'm actually pretty happy with the mix, myself.
I like the synths being very distant and backgroundy... I
kind of... focus in on the drums and all their subtle
changes, so the synths kind of flow in subconciously.
I think about this far too much. :P
Thanks again. :)

i understand, it's just personal preference. you might want
to just TRY another mix bringing out the dynamic melodic
elements more and quiet the drum and synth loops a bit, that
might open the gate a little bit for even more development..
the last thing i want to listen to is a techno track that
just sounds like a few seconds of music looped for 4 minutes

1:12 into it: really liking it so far. i can deffinately see
what you mean by hypnotic. im another fan of that.

2:00 some great melodies here, i love how they shifted from
happy (or whatever youd call the main tone of if) to
melancholy to "happy" again.

3:40 im not getting over how much i love that little
metallinc "bzzzng" noise.

4:40 waaa! the "bzzzng" noise shifted one space over in the
loop, totally threw me off.

end: unlike what alot of people said, i ablsolutely love the
repetetiveness of it. like you said, it hypnotizes you. by
the end i started thinking what the original drum beat
sounded like and realized its quite different at the end,
which again is a thing i love; when it changes so subtly
over a period of time that you dont notice. amazing track,
very well done cheif.

oh, by the way, its quite different than this, but if you
wouldnt mind returning the favor of check out my new track
(on the 'hedphukkerr plays a concert!!!' thread) im really
dying for feedback on in. cheers! (damn, im hanging with you
brits too much...)

Thanks very much, man. Really appreciate that. :) I, too, am
a fan of the subtly changing drum patterns. That's one of
the reasons I prefer Autechre to Aphex Twin, for instance -
Aphex's breaks are all over the place, and I find it
irritating after a while. I always like patterns that change
without you really noticing.
I'll happily return the favour. Just give me a minute or
two...

Travis - yeah, I'll give it a go. You might be right, could
sound better. Admittedly, this mix is certainly how I
intended it to be, but there's no harm in trying. :)

heh, i find it funny that you can get irritated with the
all-over-the-place breaks, then you go and give my dilliest
of drill a rave review. cheers to you mate (gah! this damn
british twang! whats it doing to me?!?)

Hahaha. Well, in yours it makes it frantic and kind of
amusing. I was thinking more Aphex's way of using the same
sounds, but making it sound like they're completely random
and out with each other. It's cool, too, but for his stuff,
especially, I think I'd prefer subtle changes.
