I got a 4 channel mixer for $33AUS today,.. what a fucking
bargain, some crappy little radioshack thingy,... but can't
complain about the price!

Nice! I've got a little 4 channel mono soundlab mixer (handy
for putting several mikes/mono synths together or chaining a
couple of normal mixers) but sadly no stereo switch. Good
buy :)

What sort of stuff are you gonna use it for?

I just found out why it is so cheap too!

the "line in" ports aren't working but the "mic" ports
are,... (which I use to plug everything in anyway)

and I noticed that it does make any difference whether I
turn it on or not

which makes me come to the conlusion that it's broken and
anything that needs power is not responding

this does not matter,.. as I do not use these ports,
everything else works fine

and the two line out ports now work as extra inputs (I know
why this works but it's hard to explain),.. so I have six
channels, all up, two of which I can't control the volume,..
4 that I can

or if I switch to stereo mode, 2 stereo channels, and 2 mono
that I have no volume control over

heh, I always end up fucking with things get to turn out
better than expected

I'm a bit of a nutter when it comes to pushing primitive
equpment,.. before I got this thing I had everything hooked
up through chain after chain of plain old stereo plugs into
double adapters and so forth, the only problem is that each
time you add a new source it cuts the volume of the
total,... and I had no real volume control
