It's unfortunate to know that this track is so deliciously
phat that it removes any possibility of an even phatter beat
to ever take place on my stereo

Like, I was bumpin it last night and I just sort of thought,
"Man. What beat could ever be as devicively phat as this
robust, hilarious beat? I mean hilarious literally, the
first time I heard the beat I was just sort of in shock.

It's stupid to make threads like this about it, i know. I
probably shouldn't.

DON'T REPLY TO THIS

hankering after you.

really? i thought this is the worst track on draft 7.30 and
find the beat uninteresting. ehh, it just doesnt do it for
me, doesnt fit with the tracks on draft to me but thats just
my thoughts.

and then the pointless 'tapr' begins. when i'm listening to
this, i'm just thinking "hurry up and end so 'surripere'
starts."

excluding v-proc and maybe surripere i thought the beats on
draft were really boring and predictable. the formula that
seemed so exciting on confield just sounds pedestrian to me
on draft. being a beat junkie (hip-hop and electronica) i
just think these are really lame and same-y beats and i can
name 100 that are phatter in my opinion. so without good or
at least memorable beats or good melodies what does draft
have? for me, next to nothing. worst autechre album ever.

but there is plenty of good melodies to be found there.

I know - I read it on the back of a matchbox.

yeah i like those melodies that rob thomas from matchbox 20
wrote for draft 7.30

i think the entire album is magic.

perfect marriage of confield and lp5 (with some tri rep
thrown in for good measure)

surripere is really the only track i thought was spectacular
on draft. rest i liked but were too stop start or didnt go
anywhere i liked.

i like 6ie.cr though, first half especially. wish it
maintained that.

same.. even v-proc i only like because it reminds me of the
beat the neptunes did for "grindin'" by clipse.

most of the tracks on draft rely on that boring/tired
start-stop technique.. you know it's a boring track when you
listen through it on fast forward and can hear just how
little is being done with it musically. i'm all for
disorienting and avant garde beats but these are just lazy.
definitely subpar autechre.

yeah. i liked confields sense of consistancy throughout the
songs. the mood was consistant and it didnt fracture itself
into something completely different. and the tracks built
up, but it was a constant thing. i sort of wished more of
draft was consistant, but it just isnt to me unfotunately.

to me, the fracturing is what creates the feeling of
consistancy.

it's consistently boring and unlistenable

confield keeps you intrigued and engaged.. draft is like
here are some cut up beats and sounds, enjoy your headache.

my problem with draft is that it doesnt create the
atmosphere that confield does...it just doesnt create any
space(theres a certain unknown aspect missing from this
release and its also missing from earlier autechre albums.
hence, i like confield best.)

i know it sounds ghey and i know people have made fun of
other people on here for liking certain things. but fuck, i
don't care. draft 7.30 massages a certain part of my brain.
somewhere like between liking music, emotion, and the
feeling of jumping from a very high place.
