Hi Grant Wilson-Claridge and Richard James - My name is
Orange Dust and I've been making tracks on Fruityloops for
about 2 months now and I was just wondering if you'd
download my latest song. I'd send a demo but do you know how
much the post fucking costs?

Anyways it's here:
Orange Dust - Blank Robber

It's kind of very IDM like Esem and Gimmik style then it
goes int a breakbeat and bassline thing and then it goes
back to the esemmy shit.

I hope you enjoy it, thankyou very much!

Yes! I can see it all now...

0:00-0:40 The gang are all gathered to plot out the heist.
They discuss tactics, timing, and escape route.

0:40-1:22 They pack up and get in the van, their journey has
started. The scene flicks to the bank where customers and
bank staff are quietly going about their daily business,
unaware of the peril that approaches. Scene flicks back to
van pulling up outside.

1:22-1:35 The gang burst through the doors into the bank.
One man fires a blank shot into the air and yells' GET DOWN,
NOBODY MOVE' the customers and staff start to panic, a woman
screams.

1:35-2:02 a large masked guy shouts to a man behind the till
to get al the money into his bag. The man panics and rushes
to do as he is told.

2:03-3:16 The transfer is complete and the gang walk out of
the blank (scene in slow motion) towards the van. The doors
fly open and they all climb in. The van disappears, speeding
off around the corner, seconds after the cops arrive on the
scene only to find they are too late. This time crime does
pay :)

You have some real nice effects going on here. It really
adds texture to the song! Nice!

Gotta love that break down around the 1:20 mark. It really
was timed perfectly imo!

Good overall i really liked it!!!

I know I am going to be a little controversial
here...but...the track as always is top notch excellent
stuff...the melody is superb, the beats are excellent, the
construction is spot on...but...something about the
instrument sounds, they just don't sound professional. They
lack the polish that would make the tracks Aphex standard
like...everything else is there other than the instrument
sounds.

I'm getting this now, I always look out for new OD tracks.
If I ever get my shit together I'd press a vinyl EP for you
in an instant.

I still fuck my ears with Southside Suicide on md
constantly. I want that on vinyl bad.

the production sounds too squikie clean for me, song-wise i
like that bass thingy best, and the intro, im a sucker for
good intro's
furthermore im interested how you make something sounding
this good fit in 3mb, you compress all the sounds? i dont
hear that though

well, yeah. i mean..i can't ever really say anything other
than "this kicked my ass" because...well. your tracks are
just always so.."solid". for really reals. and this time was
no different from the rest. thoroughly enjoyed, friend. =]

Whoa thanks peeps!

As for the production - yeah somietiems my tracks can feel a
little dry, part of it is coz I'm using drumsynth for a lot
of the drum sounds and part of it is coz that's just how I
like the sounds. Too clean, maybe, that's just how I like it
:)

ecnad - yeah I can understand that.... I noticed there's a
tiny something that doesn't seem to ...hold it together? But
I didn't think it was *too* much of a problem.

OH yeah and Jazembo you are a champ thanks for that mate!
hahahah that's brilliant!

oh also: Big - Nah man just render straight from Fruityloops
4 to 128kbps mp3 - I think FLK still uses the LAME encoder
which is apparently pretty good.
