eternal darkness was a tight game for sega genesis. first
fighting game to have interesting characters IMO.

that was ETERNAL CHAMPIONS.

ETERNAL DARKNESS is an excellent horror game
for gamecube.

but yes that WAS a tight game. That final boss was SUPER
hard, and you could not, under any circumstance, lost to
him, because if you did - GAME OVER - no continues, no
retry. How's that for a challenge?

eternal champions, right! (link) the gameplay was
a bit shit but i liked the rendering.

i've never played eternal darkness

oh and does anyone know where he got that sample from?
vsnares has all the cool vocal samples.

you're missing out then - it's one of the better games on
gamecube - mad fun, one of the few games out there that
breaks the fourth wall and really effects the gamer.

as for eternal champions, XAVIER was always my favourite.
while the gameplay wasn't up to say, street fighter
standards, it was much better than most other fighters at
the time.

there was a sequel on Sega CD (which of course didn't last
long) that had many new characters, lots of new kills,
(including non-environmental ones) and an ADDITIONAL final
boss.

There was also supposed to be one for Sega Saturn, but it
was cancelled.

poor sega, the last successful console they had was
genesis.. i wonder what happened.

what are your favorite fighters for playstation2 (if you
have played any)? i'm getting one for my birthday soon and
only have soul calibur 2 and maybe mortal kombat: deadly
alliance in mind.

come on dog you'll thank me later for not wasting your time
talking about VSNORES. i love him but he's overrated. people
need to explore the genre a little more, maybe even his
roots in hardcore and gabba, instead of buying every single
thing dude puts out.

well I kinda agree with you here. I really really like
vsnares allot to but I also think he's somewhat overrated.
he makes insane stuff but the effect of it wears of pretty
quickly.
I compare vsnares to lesbian porn:
it's all the same but extremely addictive

and vsnares is probably the most insane music I've heard. I
haven't come to anything that's harder. I don't like gabber
allot but vsnares has a good balance between gabber and idm
so it's all good

there is harder stuff actually...but that's Breakcore and I
don't like breakcore.
lots of crap out there. it's basicly an amen with noise on
it.

if you like 2D fighters, i HIGHLY recommend Guilty
Gear X2 and/or Capcom vs. SNK 2.

As for 3D, Soul Calibur 2 is the best I've seen lately.
Tekken 4 is okay at best, but does nothing to rekindle my
interest in the series, much less convert new fans.

But Mortal Kombat: DA is WORTH every penny. Lots of replay
value, and good balanced gameplay, not to mention an
excellent fighting engine. :D
