I think it's a very good album. Musically it's not their
best but the lyrics are absolutely magnificent. I especially
enjoy 'Oh my Lord' and 'As I sat sadly by her side'.

It's a bit too long though, I hardly ever manage to listen
through all of it as it's such an involved album.

Yeah, "Oh My Lord" is my favorite track on it. But I'm more
into other albums like Tender Prey, From Her To
Eternity
, Murder Ballads, and Let Love In

i got murder ballads from the library a bit ago and it was
pretty poor. i found it funny that kylie minogue is on two
of the tracks too...

I've had this album forr what seems like ages and everry so
often I come back to it, it's fantastic. Not his best, but
it beats his latest.

i like nocturama more than no more shall we part, "he wants
you" is so beautiful

The first times i listened to it I was disappointed. All
this boring "God" and "hallelujah"-songs. But it grew, and I
think it is a very good album. But Cave was best at "Let
Love In".

Crow Jane Crow Jane
Crow Jane
Horrors in her head
That her tongue dare not name
She lives alone by the river
The rolling rivers of pain
Crow Jane Crow Jane
Crow Jane Ah hah huh

There is one shining eye on a hard-hat
The company closed down the mine
Winking on waters they came
Twenty hard-hats, twenty eyes
In her clapboard shack
Only six foot by five
They killed all her whiskey
And poured their pistols dry
Crow Jane Crow Jane
Crow Jane Ah hah huh

Seems you've remembered
How to sleep, how to sleep
The house dogs are in your turnips
And your yard dogs are running all over the street
Crow Jane Crow Jane
Crow Jane Ah hah huh

"O Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson
Why you close up shop so late?"
"Just fitted out a girl who looked like a bird
Measured .32, .44, .38
I asked that girl which road she was taking
Said she was walking the road of hate
But she stopped on a coal-trolley up to New Haven
Population: 48"
Crow Jane Crow Jane
Crow Jane Ah hah huh

Your guns are drunk and smoking
They've followed you right back to your gate
Laughing all the way back from the new town
Population, now, 28
Crow Jane Crow Jane
Crow Jane Ah hah huh

I didn't like Nocturama too much, but pretty much all of his
earlier stuff is good, with the exception of that spoken
one... the Birthday Party is great too.

I got into Cave because of Metallica's cover of ''Lover
Man''... hmm.

Kylie never sounded so good. I suggest taking Murder
Ballads
out of the library again and try to forget she's
on it. It's not a poor album at all.

just a cheesy album.

nick cave just performed on letterman. after the commercial

life.

Already on SLSK, and it's really good. I liked Nocturama,
but this one is more enjoyable for me. If you like "no more
shall we part", "the boatman's call" is the most similar
album I'd say.

Who here likes the Birthday Party? Their self titled is my
favorite thing Nick Cave's ever been involved with. And he's
been involved with a lot of great shit, indeed.
